A Vinnie For All Seasons

This was a series I did from December 2019-November 2020, depicting myself as the characters in costumes designed by Robert De Mora by the movie “Grease 2”.

I have a huge appreciation for this campy, cult classic film and have always been in love with the costumes from the school talent show scene where the Pink Ladies (and friends) perform a number called “A Girl for All Seasons”.

These digital drawings were created on Procreate, my first real experiment using doing digital drawing. These were a continuation of a watercolor series I did the year before, within the same vain however only on the face and headwear of the characters.

For the Love of Broadway

In response to the shutdown of the Theatre Industry during the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020, I decided to draw moments from some of the shows that I never got to see in real life.

This is an on going series as I continue to express my love for musical theatre and the love that is pivotal to the stories being told onstage. Theatre has not only provided me a career, but has opened my mind to so many experiences and forms of human than I have seen in my day to day life. The love that the community, cast, production teams pour into these shows mixed with the love stories that are told eight times a week bring so much joy and emotion to this world.

A Midsummer Nights Dream

Howard University - 2016

While working as an Assistant Costume Designer to DC based Costume Designer Kendra Rai, she asked me to render “A Midsummer Nights Dream” for her for a production at Howard University.

This was a unique experience. While I had assisted Kendra for a couple years, this was the first time we had discussed my involvement in this portion of the design.

Kendra provided me with research and images of some of the expected cast members, and allowed me to add my thoughts and flare into the design as well.
